Topic 1 - Getting started -
Knowing what your clients objectives are before you start your web page is important to the design of the website and a good place to start. If the designer and the client aren't on the same page this could deliver a webpage that the client is not satisfied with. Be sure to highlight the key points that need input from the client so you can ensure that the design will complete the objective.
Topic 2 - Site maps
With an understating of the site objective and who will be using the site then you can start to think about how you want to display the information given to you and how that information can be accessed. Sitemaps help you structure the information that the clients give to you. The sitemaps is a template for your pages such as the home page.
Topic 3 - Joys of Tech
Many sites go just above the text and imagery, many sites use videos, gallery images, and downloadable files. You need to consider the budget of the clients before you put in these components, if you add a streaming video the client needs to own a server to stream the video or will go through a third party site.
