Tahquamenon Falls State Park encompasses nearly 50,000 acres and stretches 13-plus miles in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The park is home to multiple campgrounds, overnight lodging facilities, a boat launch, more than 35 miles of trails and multiple overlooks to the Upper and Lower Falls. Taking place twice a year, Free ORV Weekend is a great time to see, experience and test out Michigan’s off-road vehicle trails. Residents and out-of-state visitors legally can ride Michigan's 4,000 miles of off-road vehicle trails and routes and the state’s six scramble areas on two back-to-back days without an ORV license or trail permit. The 2024 NMU Jazz Festival will be held on the beautiful campus of Northern Michigan University on Thursday & Friday, April 4-5. High school and middle school jazz bands from throughout the region will participate in a variety of performances and clinics, and two exciting evening performances will showcase NMU students, faculty, and guest clinicians.
