Topic 1 - Planning for the code
Huey Nhan says that over-planning is a waste of time and that under-planning can cause major problems. I agree with both of these statements by Nhan. Code should be simple and executed with a well made plan. I also love how it says to check out othe sites too for planning on building. Throughout the time I spent coding, I remember I would look at the code for quite some time! It always interested me to see the different designs. The design of a site should correlate with what the site is about. The client's ideas are always the important idea when it comes to design. The end users are the final importance because they will be using the site.
Topic 2 - Site Maps and Navigation Importance
One of the most important things when it comes to websites is the navigation of the site and how easy it is for the user to find sections. It allows the client and site users to know where to go for tabs, home, and other options the site may feature. Without the tools for navigation, we will have a harder time finding what we are looking for. With site maps, it provides an easier way to know what is the header, body, footer and where things are located.
Topic 3 - The Overall Plan
When coding and building a site, it is good to have a well built plan consisting of a few main importants ideas. The client, the users, how much budget wise to build the site are some of the biggest points to focus on. A well built plan will create a well built structure. Keeping the main ideas in mind will help form a good structure and benefit the client as well as become user friendly for the users. Technology has a huge impact on how your site operates as well. With the advancing technology, we have a vast variety of platforms to cover. The easier it is to use on multiple platforms, the more beneficial it is for the client.
