Summary 4 | Chapter 3 & 12

Links
Link text is the text between the <a> and </a> tags, and it should be clear and descriptive. The href attribute in the <a> element specifies the web address of the page that will be accessed when the link is clicked. Absolute URLs contain the full web address, while relative URLs can be used to link to pages within the same site without specifying the domain name. Using descriptive link text and relative URLs can improve the user experience, and make it easier to build a website on a computer without a domain name or hosting.

Directory Structure
The directory structure of a website has a root folder containing all other files and folders. Each section of the site is placed in a separate folder. The relationships between folders are described using family tree terminology, with parent and child folders. The main homepage of a site is called index.html, and each section of the site has its own index.html file. Each page and image on a website has a URL consisting of the domain name and the path to that page or image. When linking to other web pages or including images on a website, URLs are used.

Text
There are properties to control the choice of font, size, weight, style, and spacing. there is a limited choice of fonts that most people will have installed, and that wider ranges of typefaces may require proper licensing. Text can be aligned and indented, and that pseudo-classes can be used to change the style of an element under certain user actions.
