Planning
It’s important to make sure everyone understands what they have to do and not go off track. This is because when people go off and do what they want during the planning phase, more issues will arise and production will take even longer. If everyone is on the same page in terms of what they specifically need to do, then production and creation of the web design will be a much smoother process.
Site Maps
No matter if your website is big or small, it’s important to keep things as organized as possible. Site maps ensure that you can refer back to them and be 100% sure on what goes where and things don’t accidentally end up in the wrong places. Especially if you are planning on having multiple pages and hyperlinks as well as if you plan on having consistent elements included inside of your website.
Planning Checklist
If you are creating a website for a client it’s very crucial that you are creating this with them in mind. Other things that you need to keep in mind are the users, budget, technology, and ultimately, the future of the website. One of the most important things to take away from this are the users. How are they going to react when seeing your website? Will it be easy for them to navigate through the site?. Or, are they going to have a hard time doing so? It’s important to make sure that users have the best experience possible when visiting a site.
