WHO ARE WE?
Copper Summit has been serving Michigan since 1949
The Brockway family has owned and operated Copper Summit since 1957. There are six lifts serving 10 runs, including numerous terrain features, and a snow tubing park on 43 acres. The ski season runs November through March, weather permitting. Recent additions to Copper Summit include the Zip Line Tours and our very own Adventure Park
Everything That's Included
Ski Facilities:- 210 ft. vertical drop. 30% beginner, 45% intermediate, 10% advanced, 15% terrain park, 1 Triple chairlifts, and 4 rope tows. New last year, a Magic Carpet.
Snowmaking:
- 50 snowmaking positions with a capacity of up to 1,000 gallons of water per minute... or 12" of machine made snow in a 24 hour period at temperatures of 20 degrees F.
Ski Lodge:
- 5,500 square feet Bar Lounge upstairs... Short Order Grill, Rental Shop, Ski Patrol First Aid Facility, Ticket, Ski School Lesson Center, Reception Group Sales Upstairs.
Rental Shop Equipment:
- 350 sets of skis, 100 junior skis, 110 snowboards with strap-in bindings and boots, 20 Snow Blades.
Adventure Park:
- zip lines, cargo nets, suspension bridges, climbing walls, and tightropes.
Snow Tubing:
- 2 Handle tows, 4 Tubing Runs, and 160 Tubes. Tubing Vertical Drop 100 ft., Longest run 750 ft.
Zip Line Tours:
- Start at Ground School, a small 60 foot long zipline to get started, then head to our 10 separate ziplines, including the final TWIN ZIP, over 4,000 ft of cable, reaching heights up to 70 feet.

LOUNGE
Avalanche Bar and Grill is our cozy mountainside lounge that overlooks the ski hill
It's a great place to unwind after an exciting day of skiing, riding, golfing, or zip lining, have dinner and an adult beverage, or just share some laughs with old friends. With our extensive grill menu and full bar, you'll find your time spent in the Avalanche a great addition to your day at Copper Summit!
Sneak Peak at our Food Choices
Classic Cheeseburger
- A juicy beef patty topped with melted cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato slices, pickles, and onions, served on a toasted sesame seed bun. Accompanied by golden French fries.
BBQ Ribs Platter
- Tender pork ribs slow-cooked to perfection and slathered in tangy barbecue sauce. Served with coleslaw, baked beans, and a side of cornbread.
Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad
- Grilled chicken breast served atop a bed of crisp romaine lettuce, tossed with Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese, and crunchy croutons.

COPPER SUMMIT DRONE POLICY
IMPORTANT IMFORMATION
Out of safety concerns for guests, employees, and resort property, as well as concerns for individual privacy, Copper Summit Ski Area prohibits the operation or use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, by the general public including recreational users and hobbyists without the prior written authorization from the Ski Area. This prohibition includes drones used for filming or videotaping, as well as any drone use by media or journalists operating above or within Copper Summit Ski Area boundaries.This prohibition on drone operations or use extends to any drones launched or operated from Ski Area property, as well as drones launched from private property outside of the Ski Area boundaries. Please contact a resort representative 989.539.6583 if you have any questions or if you seek prior authorization to operate any aerial drones.
Any authorized operation of aerial drones may be governed by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations, local law enforcement as well as those policies separately established by Copper Summit Ski Area, which may include:
- Certification
- Training
- Insurance coverage
- Indemnification requirements
- Waivers or releases of liability
Any violation of this policy may involve:
- Suspension of your skiing or snowboarding privileges
- Revocation of your season pass
- Confiscation of any drone equipment
- Damages for violations of privacy, physical or personal injuries, or property damage
- Regulatory fines and legal fees
